Juliano Associates, LLC lends a helping hand.

We here at Juliano Associates are very proud of our community and through our various associations are always looking to help give back. Therefore, when we were approached by the Wallingford Emergency Shelter we knew that this would be another great way to help those who are in need.

The non-profit organization who's mission statement is to "provide temporary housing, warm meals, and related services to those in need" is in the process of site plan approval for the construction of two “Family Units” on their property located at 123 Quinnipiac Street. These new townhouse style units will be used by the non-profit organization to help single mothers get back on their feet by offering a cost effective housing option.

We felt so strongly about this new housing option that the Shelter was going to be offering that Juliano Associates, LLC donated a large portion of its time to the organization.  The project goes before the Wallingford Planning and Zoning Commission on August 9, 2010.  If you want to learn more about the Wallingford Emergency Shelter and how you can help you can visit them on Facebook at Wallingford Emergency Shelter.

Juliano Associates, LLC in the news!

Two recent articles in the New Haven Independent covered projects that Juliano Associates, LLC has had the privilege to be involved in.

The first article found here:  River Street talks about the City of New Haven's push to clean up and develop an area of the City.  We believe the author, Jeremy Lunt, has done a very fine job describing the process and some of the hurdles that are still ahead for truly getting this area moving forward.  Having been involved with the Colony Hardware project, we are familiar with both the potential and the issues regarding the area.  What is more interesting are the various comments from the readers and their take on the process and what the City has done and is doing to promote the area.

The second article Round Breaking by Paul Bass, talks about the City's recent push to control traffic speeds on West Park Avenue.  The City's plan is to install a traffic circle, or round about, at the intersection of West Park Avenue and Elm Street to force motorists to slow down.  Juliano Associates, LLC performed the land surveying and base mapping for the project.  Below is our finished map that was delivered to the City's Engineering Department and their engineering consultant Wilbur Smith who performed the engineering design work.
Since this initial survey Juliano Associates, LLC has surveyed two additional intersections for the City for future traffic calming projects.
